TIME stated 'Trump's political rebirth is unparalleled in American history," in their announcement that he would be their 2024 Person of the Year released Thursday.

This marks the second time, the 45th and now 47th president has received the cover for Person of the Year, the first being in 2016.

The president-elect celebrated by ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange in Manhattan, with daughters Tiffany and Ivanka, and Vice President-elect JD Vance alongside him Thursday morning.

Trump beat out finalists Kamala Harris, Elon Musk, Benjamin Netanyahu and Kate Middleton for the prestigious title.

Polly Mellen leaves her legacy as a leading voice in the world of fashion in the second half of the 20th century.

She served as fashion editor at Harper's Bazaar and Vogue for an impressive 60 years.

Mellen worked with legends like Irving Penn, Richard Avedon and Helmut Newton and in 1994 received the CFDA Lifetime Achievement award.
