Iran has accused the United States and Israel of orchestrating the recent jihadist attack in Syria, particularly targeting the Syrian city of Aleppo.

Major General Mohsen Rezaei, a former commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), claimed that the assault was part of a broader effort to destabilize the region, extending conflicts from Gaza and Lebanon into Syria.

He argued that the attack violated the 2020 ceasefire between the Syrian government and militants.

Iran expressed full support for Syria in countering these foreign-backed terrorist actions.

Additionally, Rezaei warned that Iran’s retaliatory operation, "True Promise III," would soon take place as a response to Israeli actions, signaling a heightened military escalation.
