Competition from platforms like Threads and Bluesky has made staying on X less appealing for many.

The Guardian recently stopped posting on X, criticizing its toxic environment and Musk's role in shaping political discourse.

High-profile departures include Barbra Streisand, who announced her move to Bluesky, and Jamie Lee Curtis, who deactivated her account with a reflective Instagram post.

Actor Ben Stiller followed suit, also joining Bluesky, which has quickly gained popularity, adding a million new users in one day.
