However, just a week later, authorities uncovered the child's body in a dumpster at the Azalea Mobile Home Park, where both lived.

Additional remains were later found at a nearby landfill.

Simon now faces charges, including malice murder, concealing a death, providing false information, and filing a false report.

If found guilty, she may receive a life sentence.
