Kevin Costner's Horizon 2 Theatrical Release Scrapped as He Pushes for 4-Part Series

During a press conference at the Venice Film Festival, Kevin Costner revealed that the decision to cancel the theatrical release of Horizon 2 was likely a reaction to the box office performance of the first film.

He admitted it did not have overwhelming success, but also mentioned that many of his movies have stood the test of time despite similar initial setbacks.

Costner explained that the release of Chapter Two was initially set to take place just six weeks after the release of the first film.

This plan was changed by the studio, leading to the eventual cancellation altogether.

Despite this setback, Costner expressed gratitude for the turn of events because it allowed him to present Horizon 2 at the prestigious Venice Film Festival.

Despite some setbacks, Costner shared that they have only increased his desire to continue with his vision of turning Horizon into a four-part series.

He mentioned that when things don't come easily, it only fuels his determination to make it work.
