Simone Biles becomes most decorated American gymnast in Olympics history with 8 medals.

Following Team USA's gold medal win in Tuesday's women's gymnastics team competition, Simone Biles has upped her medal count to 8, officially becoming the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic Games history.

She previously shared the record with gymnast Shannon Miller, who competed in the 1992 and 1996 games.

Biles has now won 5 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals throughout her Olympic career.

Kathie Lee Gifford hospitalized after fall, fracturing pelvis shortly following hip replacement.

The 70-year-old former television host had undergone hip replacement surgery prior to the fall that landed her back in the hospital.

Gifford had been attending book signing events to promote her recent release, Herod and Mary , amid her recovery from surgery, which she has since claimed "weakened my body." The following day, she tripped and fell when rushing to the door, leading to the injury.

She remained in the hospital the week following to take extra precaution in her recovery.

Rapper/actor Chino XL dies at 50.

The rapper, born Derek Keith Barbosa, passed away on Sunday due to an unknown cause.

His passing was revealed in a joint statement released by his daughters, writing "The main thing we are feeling now is that our Dad is at peace, and so we are at peace." Known to many as the "Lyrical Messiah," Chino XL dedicated nearly 3 decades of his career to the hip hop industry, releasing four solo albums and collaborating with a variety of artists.

He was also known for his acting work in the early 2000's, starring in the film Alex & Emma, and making television appearances in The Young and the Restless, CSI: Miami, and Reno 911!.
