The Paris 2024 Summer Olympics began with a unique opening ceremony along the Seine river.

Team Oneindia's Paridhi Bhanot reports from the scene, describing the 6-kilometer boat parade featuring 10,500 athletes from 205 nations.

This outdoor ceremony is a first in Olympic history.

The 117-member Indian delegation is led by PV Sindhu and Sharath Kamal, with high hopes for Neeraj Chopra.

Paris implemented extensive security measures, including a no-fly zone around the city.
