A devastating building collapse occurred at Rubina Manzil in Mumbai's Grand Road area on Saturday, resulting in one death and 13 injuries.

The incident at 11 AM near Grant Road Railway Station involved the partial collapse of the balcony and slab portions of the second and third floors, along with the upper four-story structure.

Rescue operations were promptly launched as residents were stranded and some parts of the building remained precariously hanging.

The continuous rainfall in Maharashtra has exacerbated the situation, disrupting public transport and causing widespread inconvenience.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has called for vigilance to address the impacts of the ongoing downpours.
