In a tragic incident, Sgt.

First Class Tal Lahat, a 21-year-old soldier from the Maglan commando unit, was killed during fighting in Gaza City.

This loss brings Israel's toll in the ongoing ground offensive against Hamas and operations along the Gaza border to 327.

Details of the Incident Sgt.

Lahat was killed on Tuesday afternoon in the Tel al-Hawa neighbourhood of Gaza City by a Sniper attack claimed by Hamas.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) provided a morning update, reporting that troops, including members of the Maglan unit, had raided the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) headquarters in Gaza City.

This facility, located near the Rimal and Tel al-Hawa neighbourhoods, was allegedly used by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad for attacks against Israeli troops.
