J&K Kulgam Encounter: Four Terrorists Killed In Encounter With Security Forces In J&K's Kulgam

In a recent escalation in Jammu and Kashmir's security landscape, a soldier lost his life during an encounter with terrorists in Modergam village, Kulgam district, where security forces were conducting a search operation based on intelligence inputs.

The exchange of gunfire also resulted in the deaths of four terrorists.

Simultaneously, another confrontation unfolded in the Frisal Chinnigam area of Kulgam.

This incident underscores the region's heightened terrorist activities in recent months, including notable encounters in June that saw three terrorists neutralised in Doda district and a tragic attack on pilgrims in Pouni area.

Despite these challenges, Jammu and Kashmir's Director General of Police, R R Swain, reassured that security forces maintain full control over the security situation, noting a reduced fear among the populace compared to previous years.

Efforts continue to maintain pressure on the terrorist ecosystem as authorities remain steadfast in their commitment to safeguarding the region and countering threats effectively.
