PM Modi, Putin, Xi Jinping,Other World Leaders Congratulate Iran's Masoud Pezeshkian On Election Win

Masoud Pezeshkian has won Iran's presidential run-off with 53.7% of the votes, campaigning on a platform of opening Iran to the world and promising unity.

International leaders, including Putin and Modi, have congratulated Pezeshkian.

Saudi Arabia's King Salman and Crown Prince affirmed commitment to improving ties with Iran, while Azerbaijan's President Aliyev invited Pezeshkian to strengthen bilateral relations.

Venezuela and China expressed optimism about Iran's future under Pezeshkian, and Iraq and Pakistan emphasised enhancing regional cooperation.

Kuwait's Emir wished success for Iran's new president, and Syrian President Assad pledged to deepen strategic ties.

Pezeshkian faces expectations to manage domestic challenges and international relations, with global leaders expecting Iran to play a stabilising role in the region under his leadership.
