His death, which was ruled accidental, was confirmed to be caused by the effects of ketamine.

According to an autopsy report, the 'Friends' actor had 3.54 micrograms per milliliter of ketamine in his bloodstream.

That's almost three times the typical amount a person would normally use, 'New York Post' reports.

In his 2022 memoir, 'Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing,' Perry described ketamine as a "giant exhale.".

‘Oh,’ I thought, ‘This is what happens when you die.’ Yet I would continually sign up for this s--- because it was something different, and anything different is good, Matthew Perry, via 'Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing'.

Other factors contributing to Perry's death included drowning, coronary artery disease and the effects of buprenorphine.

Local police and the DEA launched an investigation in May to determine where Perry got the ketamine that led to his death.
