In a recent escalation of regional tensions, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that it shot down a drone, presumably launched by Hezbollah, over the Lower Galilee.

The incident occurred near a major factory belonging to the Rafael defense contractor, a critical site in Israeli defense infrastructure.

The IDF reported that the drone had infiltrated Israeli airspace from Lebanon.

However, sirens that typically warn of drone infiltrations did not sound, as per protocol.

The drone was intercepted by air defenses, and the resulting shrapnel prompted rocket sirens to sound in several towns near Sakhnin, approximately 25 kilometers from the Lebanon border.
