Chile braces for worst wind and rain in forty years

The coastal city of Vina del Mar, a popular tourist destination in Chile's Valparaiso region, prepares for high winds and heavy rain after the country's meteorological agency issued the highest level of weather warning for six regions.

The weather front is expected to be Chile's worst since 1982, when rains killed 15 people in the capital, Santiago, according to official records.
