Fire destroys Ramallah market after Israeli army raid

Palestinian Civil Defense teams were trying to control a large fire that broke out at a popular market in Ramallah in the morning hours of Thursday (May 30), after clashes between the Palestinians and Israeli army erupted during a raid on the West Bank city.

Acting Mayor of Al-Bireh, Robeen Al-Khatib, told Reuters the fire affected 200 shops and stalls in the city center.
