'The Apprentice' which stars Sebastian Stan as a young Donald Trump stunned the Cannes Film Festival during its highly anticipated premiere.

The film explores Trump's rise to power in 1980s America under the influence of the firebrand rightwing attorney Roy Cohn, played by Jeremy Strong.

During the movie's press conference at the festival, filmmaker Ali Abbasi responded to the Trump campaign's threat to sue over the film.
