Post Traumatic Stress - "Acute" & "Cumulative" Effects on Military & Law Enforcement Personnel

Most people have the opinion that it is only the military who suffer from this debilitating injury but nothing could be further from the truth.

Here's a point that few realize of understand, most people who go into the military spend 4 to 8 years in and then leave for another career.

Those who go into law enforcement spend 20+ years of their lives in it and you always see people on their worst day.

Those in the military suffer from what's called an "acute" form of Post Traumatic Stress while law enforcement and other first responders suffer from a "cumulative" form as they spend 20+ years seeing the worst of the worst.
