Netanyahu says Israel 'cannot accept' Hamas demand of ending Gaza war
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejects the Palestinian militant group Hamas's demand to end the war in Gaza in order to reach a ceasefire and hostage release deal, saying it would be a "terrible defeat" for Israel.
Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh has accused Netanyahu of sabotaging the truce talks, the latest bid to halt the devastating almost seven-month-long war that has triggered worldwide protests.
