Hunger in Gaza: Why isn’t more aid getting in?

After six months of war between Israel and Hamas, the Gaza Strip is facing “catastrophic” levels of hunger, according to the UN.

The Israeli offensive, launched in response to the Hamas attack on its soil on 7 October, has killed tens of thousands of civilians and caused a humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The International Court of Justice has ordered Israel to "ensure urgent humanitarian assistance" in Gaza without delay, saying "famine has set in".

But what is really preventing humanitarian aid from reaching Gazans?
