PM defends UK supporting UN in call for ceasefire in Gaza
Rishi Sunak says the UK was "pleased" to support the UN resolution demanding a ceasefire in Gaza for the rest of the Ramadan period.
The prime minister also says the resolution is "consistent with our position, which is for an immediate sustained humanitarian pause, which would allow for the safe release of hostages, more aid into Gaza and provide a platform for a more lasting, durable ceasefire".
