Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks is a 2005 beat 'em up action-adventure video game developed and published by Midway for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.

It is a spin-off of the Mortal Kombat fighting series.

The game is not part of the original series of fighting games, but is considered by series creator and game director, Ed Boon, a more complete beginning to the series' history and the definitive version of the events that occurred between the first two games in the series.

Series, which can be considered a tiny reboot.
