India, Maldives agree to phased replacement of military personnel from island | Oneindia News

On Friday, February 2, the governments of India and Maldives reached a consensus for a phased replacement of Indian military personnel stationed in the South Asian archipelago, as announced by the Maldivian foreign ministry.

This decision follows New Delhi's commitment to finding "mutually workable solutions" after the newly-elected pro-China President Muizzu requested the withdrawal of Indian personnel from the island nation.
