Labour's Jonathan Ashworth criticises National Insurance cut

Labour's Jonathan Ashworth says the government's cut to National Insurance leaves working people paying "£1,200 more in tax." The party said that, even with the National Insurance cut coming into effect on Friday, families in Britain were still likely to be worse off under Tory tax plans.

It comes as Labour unveiled a “Tory tax calculator” tool which allows voters check if their taxes are likely to rise even after the cut to National Insurance comes into force.
