White Christian nationalism is an ideology combining white supremacy, Christianity, and American nationalism, claiming the U.S. is a 'Christian Nation.' Research by the Southern Poverty Law Center, Public Religion Research Institute, and Brookings Institution indicates this movement is a growing threat to American democracy.

A survey revealed strong support for Christian nationalism among 54% of GOP members, with beliefs often linked to anti-Black, anti-Semitic, anti-Muslim, anti-immigration sentiments, and traditional gender roles.

The movement also correlates with support for the QAnon extremist group.
