Covid-19 Surge in India:Exploring JN.1 Sub-variant with Former AIIMS Director Dr MC Misra| Oneindia
India is witnessing a surge in Covid-19 cases, particularly in Kerala, where the active cases have reached 4,054.
The advent of the new sub-variant, JN.1, has spurred states to heighten precautionary measures.
Dr. MC Misra, former AIIMS director, notes that while JN.1 is becoming dominant, it doesn't lead to severe infections or hospitalisations.
Dr Misra says an additional vaccine dose is presently unnecessary against the JN.1 sub-variant.
