Sunak: It’s important we learn lessons from pandemic
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak starts his day of giving evidence at the Covid Inquiry by saying “how deeply sorry” he is to those who “lost loved ones” during the pandemic.
He goes on to say he has “thought a lot about” the “actions taken” after the Eat Out To Help Out scheme, which he introduced when he was Chancellor, was criticised for spreading the virus.
