Gaza doctor saw evidence of white phosphorus use by Israel

A British-Palestinian surgeon who recently returned from Gaza said he treated a number of patients with high-velocity sniper injuries and white phosphorus burns.

White phosphorus is restricted under international humanitarian law and its use is considered a war crime.

Dr Ghassan Abu-Sittah called for all hospitals which have been destroyed in Gaza to be rebuilt, as well field hospitals and medical staff to be allowed in.
