Fantasia learnt tap dance for first big movie role in ‘The Color Purple’

Singer Fantasia Barrino revealed she had to learn tap dance for her first big movie role in ‘The Color Purple’ playing Celie.

The star joins a star-studded cast that includes Taraji P.

Henson, Halle Bailey and Danielle Brooks.

Fantasia first played Celie in the first Broadway production and revealed why she initially turned the role.
