Macron says Palestinian Authority has "a responsibility" to work against terrorism

French President Emmanuel Macron says the Palestinian Authority has an "eminent responsibility" to work alongside the international community "to find a solution on the clear fight against terrorism".

He is hosting a conference in Paris on humanitarian aid for Gaza as the war between Israel and Hamas enters its second month.

During the conference, from which Israel is absent, Macron has also stressed the need to " work towards a ceasefire".
