Jenrick: We won't provide 'luxurious' hotels for migrants

Immigration minister Robert Jenrick says that while the government is obliged to provide appropriate housing for destitute asylum seekers, it is not required to provide a โ€œmenuโ€ of accommodation or โ€œluxurious hotelsโ€.

His comments follow a statement in the House of Commons on Tuesday in which he announced the number of hotels being used to accommodate asylum seekers will be cut by 50 over the next three months.
