Minister: Climate policy must go at pace people can afford

Farming Minister Mark Spencer has defended Rishi Sunak’s move to delay some of the government’s climate policies, insisting that politicians must take voters with them on the journey to net-zero.

He said: “We’ve got to approach this in a pragmatic way, in a common sense way, which embraces new technology but also goes at a pace that people can afford and sign up to.” Report by Buseld.
