PAC chair criticises government over RAAC unpreparedness

The chair of the Commons Public Accounts Committee, Dame Meg Hillier MP has criticised the government’s lack of planning to remedy buildings constructed with reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC).

The MP for Hackney South and Shoreditch said: “The less you spend, the more it costs in the long term… Unfortunately, too often we too much short term thinking.” Report by Covellm.
