China Coast Guard fires water cannon at Philippines boat

Video released by the Philippine Coast Guard shows one of its vessels being fired on by a Chinese water cannon in the disputed South China Sea on August 5.

Beijing claims almost all of the South China Sea as its territory, despite rival claims from several countries in the region, and has ignored a 2016 international court ruling that its assertion has no legal basis.
