NASA to Launch , Its Own Streaming Platform.

This summer, the space agency plans to launch NASA+, Engadget reports.

In addition to live broadcasts, the streaming service will feature original video series.

The streaming service will reportedly be free without ads.

It will be available on iOS and Android devices, desktop and mobile browsers, Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV and more.

NASA's Office of Communications issued a statement about the new service.

Weโ€™re putting space on demand and at your fingertips with NASAโ€™s new streaming platform.

NASA is also developing "a new web (and app) experience" that conveys its missions, projects and updates in a more comprehensive way for the average person to explore, Engadget reports.

Better navigation and search function will also be integrated into the new web experience to more easily access information from NASA's various websites
