Why Christopher Nolan wrote Oppenheimer in the first person

Writer and director of Oppenheimer made the unusual choice to write the script for his new movie in the first person.

He explained why at the UK Premiere of his new movie, where Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Cillian Murphy and Florence Pugh were in attendance.
