Streeting: Labour can offer light at end of tunnel for NHS

The shadow health secretary has said only a Labour government can secure the future of the NHS, as the health service celebrates its 75th anniversary against the backdrop of major industrial action.

Wes Streeting said: โ€œWeโ€™ve got a plan not just for recruiting staff but retaining them โ€ฆ and giving people, whether they work for the NHS or they use the NHS, some hope and light and the end of the tunnel that the NHS โ€ฆ can be there, free at the point of use ... for the next 75 years."
