Racism and sexism ‘widespread’ in English cricket, report finds

Racism, sexism, classism and elitism are "widespread" in English and Welsh cricket – that’s according to a damning new report.

The Independent Commission for Equity in Cricket (ICEC) has delivered its findings after a two-year investigation.

It’s made 44 recommendations, including that the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) makes a public apology for its failings.

The ECB announced the report back in March 2021 following global movements such as Black Lives Matter.

Some of those involved in giving evidence include women's captain Heather Knight, Azeem Rafiq, the former Yorkshire player and racism whistleblower, and England men's test captain Ben Stokes.
