'Not chaotic': Elon Musk's mum defends Twitter's DeSantis launch

Speaking on the blue carpet of the amfAR AIDS charity fundraising gala, held to coincide with the Cannes Film Festival, Elon Musk's mother Maye Musk says she enjoyed the campaign launch of US presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis, which was held amidst technical difficulties on her son's Twitter Spaces platform.

She insists that any problems were caused by the launch event's popularity - "they didn't expect millions to want to go on." By Twitter's own metrics, the audio-only event garnered a high of just a few hundred thousand listeners.
