Punjab: Gas leak from Dera Bassi's Sourav Chemical Factory; smoke causes panic | Oneindia News

There was a stir after gas leaked from a factory in Nangal of Ropar district in Punjab on Thursday morning.

Many people, including 24-25 children of the Center Soldier Private School built near the factory, came under its grip.

After complaining of throat and headache, everyone was hurriedly taken to Nangal Civil Hospital.

The condition of many of these people ws reported to be bad.

Around 2400 children were present in the school at the time of the incident.

After the incident, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Bains, Ropar's DC Preeti Yadav and SSP Viveksheel Soni, and all senior officers reached the spot.
