WRAP: International Women's Day marked around the world
Crowds hit streets in cities around the world to mark International Women's Day on Wednesday March 8.
The event, to highlight gender equality and women's rights, comes amid a wave of threats to both: from the Taliban's pulling back of numerous rights in Afghanistan to the reversal of the Roe vs Wade abortion ruling in the United States.
"As a woman, I must keep speaking up" says one participant in Tokyo, "I'm trying to be the voice for those who are not able to do it themselves."
