Quake: Sunak resists calls to match public donations

Rishi Sunak has refused to be drawn on calls for the government to match donations to the DEC's earthquake appeal for Turkey and Syria - after members of the public pledged more than £50m to the appeal.

Speaking on a visit to a cancer diagnosis centre in Oldham, the prime minister insisted the UK government was providing financial aid and other support to both countries.
