The death toll in the Turkey and Syria earthquake has crossed 34,000 and the numbers are still expected to rise with the UN Chief predicting the toll to double up.

Many miraculous rescue operations have been carried out and are still on with the rescue workers racing against time to pull out survivors from under the debris of buildings that were flattened in the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on February 6.

Stories of bravery and humanity in the face of crisis are also flooding social media.

A stunning footage is now going viral on social media which captures the moment two nurses put their lives at risk to protect babies in the intensive care unit while an earthquake rocked their hospital.
