Gen X Awakening 11 – A far away trip

Finally, Spring break arrived and it was time to set out on my journey.

I packed up my carry-on with a few days of clothes and some personal items. My father drove me down to JFK, where I would catch a British Airways flight across the great Atlantic to London Heathrow.

As I cleared customs and sat waiting to board the plane, I was elated to be taking my first trip across seas, and leaving behind the North American continent on which I'd spent all my days up until then.
