Why does the FBI have Seth Rich laptops?

Apparently the FBI have, not one, but two of Seth Rich's laptops.

They have his work laptop as well as his personal laptop.

But why?

If the story of a bungled robbery is legit, why would they need his laptops?

And why can't anyone get any information from a FOIA request about them?
