Tension continues to simmer in Iran as courts hand out death sentences | Oneindia News*Explainer

The situation in Iran continues to remain incendiary and is showing no signs of any immediate end….Neither the protests that have been going on since past 3 months…nor the crackdown of the Iranian regime on those protesting.

As many as 15 people have been shot dead in Iran, including members of the security forces and two young boys… in separate incidents… as the country experienced one of its most serious and widespread nights of protests in the past nine weeks.

The courts in Iran have also now begun handing out death penalties .

Four more have been sentenced to death on the charge of "enmity against God" in connection with the recent protests .

This has brought the total number of recent death penalties to 5!
