Rishi Sunak vows to 'grip illegal migration'

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak insists, "gripping illegal migration is an absolute priority" and says he is "confident" numbers of people crossing the English Channel in dinghies will come down over time.

This comes after the government signed a deal with France which will see a boost to beach patrols and British staff based in French control rooms for the first time.
