Dozens detained during new round of anti-government protests in Chisinau, Moldova

Some 65 people were detained in the Moldovan capital of Chisinau, local police claimed on social media, as anti-government rallies continue.

Earlier this month, President Maia Sandu asked the Cabinet of Ministers to expand police powers so security forces could disperse protests without the consent of the local authorities.
