XR activists react to Just Stop Oil tomato soup stunt

Extinction Rebellion activists had mixed opinions in response to a stunt pulled by fellow climate group Just Stop Oil, in which protesters poured tomato soup over Van Gogh's Sunflowers masterpiece at the National Gallery.

While one XR representative labelled it "mindless vandalism", another remarked: "it can be cleaned off, whereas the damage that we're doing to this planet can't be mended or cleaned quickly." Report by Buseld.
