Jamie Lee Curtis bids a tearful farewell to franchise with 'Halloween Ends'

Jamie Lee Curtis says she is an "emotional human being" and that this made it very tough for her to say goodbye to the Halloween franchise with new sequel Halloween Ends.

Curtis was 19 years old when she made her feature debut as archetypal "final girl" Laurie Strode in John Carpenter's 1978 slasher Halloween — and now she's playing the character for a seventh time in her 60s.

"It's hard to say goodbye to anything.

I am an emotional human being.

I've been doing this for a long time.

I've been doing it with this group of people for five years," the star told Yahoo.

Halloween Ends is in UK cinemas and IMAX from 14 October.
