Gordon Brown has urged the British government to “do more” to help alleviate “unspeakable suffering on an unprecedented scale” following widespread flooding in Pakistan.

The former prime minister is hosting a fundraising event in Fife after the UN launched a $160m USD disaster appeal for the country.
